Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister C Ramachandraiah presented silk Vastrams to Goddess Padmavathi in Tiruchanoor on the occasion of annual brahmotsavams which commenced today.
After presenting the vastrams, he said elaborate arrangements have been made by TTD for the nine-day mega religious event of Ammavari Karthika Brahmotsavams.
He appealed to the denizens to take part in the festival in a big way to make the event a colourful one and get the divine blessings of Goddess Padmavathi.
Minister for Mines Galla Aruna Kumari was also present.
Earlier, both the ministers have been given a warm welcome by TTD Chairman K Bapiraju, Exeuctive Officer LV Subramanyam and other temple officials.
The Minister later inaugurated the flower exhibition at Friday Gardens in Tiruchanoor in connection with the brahmotsavams.
He appreciated some popular stories of Hindu mythology including Ramayana, Mahabharata, Srikrishna Leela kept in the exhibition.Some structures like Conch-Disc and Namam of Lord Venkateswara which was carved in different vegetables caught the attention of multitude of pilgrims for its artistic finesse.
