The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today asked his party cadre to gear up for early Lok Sabha polls which he claimed would come any time at the Centre and in the state of Andhra Pradesh, party sources said.
He made these remarks while addressing the politburo meeting held at Chennavaravulu in Ranga Reddy district.
He said the political scenario in the country was extremely volatile and uncertain. Therefore, the early elections might be announced in near future.
He asked the party cadre to strengthen their links with the general public, especially in view of the possible early elections.
Mr Naidu has reportedly reviewed the 'Vastunna Mee Kosam' padayatra route map and decided to conclude it on January 26, 2013.
He also had detailed discussions with the politburo members on the reasons for exodus of leaders from the party. However, he expressed confidence that the exit of a few leaders would not cause any harm to the party, party sources said.
