Seven people were killed and 20 others injured in different road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today.
Police said three people were killed and ten others injured when a private bus in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Munipalli of Jakranpalli mandal in Nizamabad district.
Police said the victims hailing from Venkatapur and Mythpur villages of Karimnagar district were proceeding to Badapahad in Nizamabad district to fulfill their vows.
The deceased included lorry driver and Buchireddy, who died on the spot, and a woman Rajbi, who succumbed to injuries while shifting to government hospital here.
The injured were shifted to Nizamabad and Arumur Government Hospitals, police said.
In another accident, two people were killed on the spot and nine injured when their lorry lost control and plunged into a gorge at Takurpet Ghat Road in Porumamila Mandal of Kadapa district.
Two persons were killed and another injured when their auto rickshaw going from Kakinada was hit by a speeding APSRTC bus near Kothuru village of Karapa mandal.
The Karapa police who registered the case identified the deceased as P. Durga Bhavani (15) and Sandeep Reddy(19) both residents of Arthamuru village.
The injured was admitted to government general hospital here where his condition is stated to be out of danger, police said
