The Andhra Pradesh Congress today requested Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to give suitable directions to the concerned to permit the temple committee to make necessary arrangements at Goddess Sri Bhagya Laxmi Temple in Chairminar area for the ensuing Diwali festival within the purview of the High Court orders.
In a letter to the Chief Minister and Home Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy, a copy of which was released to the media here, APCC General Secretary G Nirangan said in connection with the restoration of status quo as on October 31 of Goddess Shri Bhagya Laxmai Temple, the local police were not permitting the temple committee to taken up any work to restore to the position of October 31.
As the Diwali festival begins with 'Dhanteras' on November 11 and only one day time in between to make the arrangements for the temple committee, the devotees were put to hardship.
