Raids by Karnataka Lokayukta today revealed a whoping Rs 11 crore property disproportionate to its known sources of income of Bruhut Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Corporator Gowramma.
On the basis of credible information, raids were conducted on the four premises of Gowramma and her relatives, according to a statement here.
The properties unearthed included three sites at Chamarajpet (worth about Rs 2,21,98,000), one building each at Nanjanmba Agrahara, Rachandra Agrahar and Weavers colony (Rs 7,76,60,000), Lands at 16 different places in Bangalore Rural District and at Mysore (Rs 2,95,92,000), cash Rs 3,83,000, gold 3.5 kg worth Rs 48,61,500, silver 21 kg worth Rs 5,27,000, household articles Rs 7,25,000, Two Maruti Suzuki Swift Cars, One Hyundai-I-20 (worth Rs 21,00,000, Seven Bank a/cs belonging to Gowramma and her husband Rs 1,18,356 and at the house of one Yamaiah, an associate of the AGO documents pertaining to investment at Kumbalgodu Gollahalli servey No 83.3 acres 20 guntas of converted land and in Servey No 75, 3 acres of converted land (worth Rs 87,00,000).
