DMK President M Karunanidhi today said his party was not against any developmental project like Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KKNPP).
"The DMK is not against any developmental project. We always favour industrial development in Tamil Nadu through scientific means," he said, in a sharp reaction to Union Minister V Naryanasamy's purported remark that DMK was opposed to KKNPP project.
Mr Naryanasamy, during the course of an interview to a Tamil magazine, had reportedly stated that the DMK had first supported the KKNPP and later backtracked.
"We don't want the support of DMK. The Centre is happy with the support extended by AIADMK Supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for the KKNPP," Mr Narayanasamy had said in the interview.
