Canadian PM visits Bangalore's ancient Someshwara Temple
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited the ancient Someshwara temple in Bangalore on Thursday.
Harper and his wife Laureen arrived barefoot at the premises and were given a guided tour by the temple priests.
They took a keen interest in the architecture and history of the 16th century temple dedicated to Hindu God Shiva.
The couple also participated in a traditional fire ritual like 'aarti' as the temple priest chanted mantras and offered prayers for their marital bliss.
Harper is on a two day visit to the IT hub, after which he leaves for Manila.
