The Delhi government has called a meeting with its counterparts in Punjab and Haryana to discuss the persistent smog that is refusing to lift from over the national capital over the past week.
The meeting, which will take place on Saturday, will be attended by the secretaries of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. Some scientists and environmentalists are also supposed to join, said NDTV.
Impact of the ever-increasing number of diesel vehicles and the burning of farmlands in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab are expected to be discussed at the meeting.
A large number of people in Delhi are suffering from respiratory diseases owing to the smog, said reports.
