India's first 3-D digital animation film ready for release on May 14

Mumbai, Apr 14 : India's first 3-D digital animation film, 'Bal Hanuman-2', is all set for release on May 14 in selected theaters, which are equipped with special projectors, its director Pankaj Sharma today said.

The film, a sequel of Bal Hanuman, can be seen using special spectacles like 'Chhota Chetan'. The major difference is instead of red or blue glass, its specs will have special polarised glass, which will enhance the 3-D experience.

The film, produced by Astute Media Vision, is the story of Lord Hanuman's childhood. With total length of one hour 15 minutes, including 35 minutes long action scene, the film explores adventurous child hood antics of Lord Hanuman.

'' In order to give depth to the film, every scene is made with two cameras each from right and left angle. Then both are mixed and converted into a digital print or transferred to a hard disc.

The whole process makes the budget double compared to a normal 2-D film'' Pankaj Sharma said.

Considered to be an expert in animation film, Sharma had earlier directed 'Pang gang', 'Bal Hanuman', 'Bal Ganesh' and 'Bal Ganesh-2' in association with Shemaroo.
