Saudi King Abdullah hospitalised for 'medical checks' amid deteriorating health rumours
Dubai, Jan 01 : Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz was reportedly hospitalised for "medical checks" amid rumours about his deteriorating health.
King Abdullah was operated upon in October 2011 and November 2012 for "ligament slackening" in the upper back.
Abdullah's half brother and crown prince, Salman, 77, is reportedly next in line to the throne.
Following the King's worsening health condition, Salman has been representing him at majority of public events, including the latest Gulf summit in Qatar this month, the report added.
