Movie Rating: 4/5
The movie was released on 19 September 2014. Produced under the banner of Gold Coin Motion Pictures. The cinematography is done by Manoj Pillai.
The movie Njan is based on the life of K T N Kottur, a young local leader who strongly remain for the welfare of agricultural labours. He was also a poet and writer. He was trapped by a local landlord and Kottur was expelled from leadership by his followers. Kottur has been missing since August 15, 1947.
The movie portrays the search of a blogger named Ravi Chandrasekhar through the life of K T N Kottur.
Njan served as a great movie with its colorful cast and numerous twists in story. Ranjith used several actors that had appeared in his previous movies and all of them shone in their respective roles. The costume of Suresh Krishna in the role of K T N Kottur's father was almost unrecognizable. Dulquar Salmaan played excellent with Ranjith's directing style.
After a few scenes, we were convinced that the casting decisions was good. In our opinion, it is an excellent movie to watch. We do expect several awards for the movie including best actor, story, script and direction.
Despite minor shortcomings, Njan is well worth a few hours of your time.
