IPL's Battle of Fans is back in eBay

New Delhi, March 22 : eBay India, India's leading eCommerce marketplace, which is the one stop online destination for IPL 2010 merchandise, is back this season with the unique Barometer - Battle of the Fans.

The eBay Battle of the Fans is a barometer which measures the popularity of an IPL team by the quantity of team merchandise bought by fans on eBay. The eight teams - Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals - are all contenders in the Battle of the Fans.

As the cricketers are scoring hits in the matches to move the scoreboard, their fans are battling it out to make the cut online by purchasing IPL merchandise to support their favourite teams.

Topping 2010's IPL Battle of Fans is 2009's Champions Deccan Chargers at 33 percent, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders at 18 percent and Royal Challengers Bangalore at 12 percent.

Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings also feature in the top-5. At the sixth, seventh and eighth positions are Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals.

The Battle of the Fans are updated daily and the all sports fans all over world can move their team scores by logging onto www.eBay/ipl and buying merchandise of their favourite IPL team.

The IPL merchandise on offer on eBay India includes jerseys, t-shirts, caps, footwear and a wide range of fan gear from backpacks, key chains, fan capes, bottle chillers, collectibles, cheering sticks, tattoos, wrist bands and even trumpets.

The IPL Jerseys and T-shirts range from between Rs. 300 to Rs. 2999. The Footwear ranges from Rs. 500 - Rs. 2499. The Fangear and collectibles are between Rs. 15 to Rs. 300. Sports fans from Saudi Arabia, Australia and UK are joining Indian sports lovers in buying IPL Merchandise and living the game.
