Srinagar, March 22: Shromani Akali Dal (Mann group) Monday demanded an Amnesty International probe into the March 2000 massacre of 35 Sikhs in Jammu and Kashmir's Chattisinghpora village.
Addressing a press conference here, Jaspal Singh Mangal, senior vice president of the group, said: "We demand an Amnesty International probe into the massacre of the 35 Sikh villagers killed on March 20, 2000."
He also said those responsible for the massacre of Sikhs were still at large.
The senior Sikh leader said some army officers of counter insurgency, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) who were posted in the area at that time had been allegedly responsible for the massacre.
