Patna, Mar 21: Five persons were shot dead and their bodies burnt at Kolahadih village in Bihar's Banka district on Saturday, media reports quoting police said.
Among the killed were former village chief Prayag Yadav.
According to reports, at least 50 people attacked the village and shot the the cars in which Yadav and his aides were travelling.
Five people, including Yadav, died on the spot. CNN IBN news channel said the killers then sprayed petrol and kerosene on the dead bodies and burnt then on the cars.
Media reports said old enmity was the reason behind the killings.
