Anna Nicole Smith's estate to miss out on 300 million dollars oil fortune

Washington, March 20 : The estate of Anna Nicole Smith will not be entitled to any of the 300 million dollars allegedly promised to the late star by her oil tycoon husband.

A federal appeals court was said to have ruled against Smith''s estate in the case that was opened with the death of billionaire J. Howard Marshall in 1995.

Smith had tied the knot with Marshall in 1994 and later alleged she had been promised the staggering amount out of his 1.6 billion dollar fortune, Us magazine reported.

The matter was settled after the court ruled the 2001 verdict in favour of Marshall''s son, E. Pierce Marshall should be upheld.

Former Playboy Playmate Smith was found unconscious in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino near Hollywood, Florida, in February 2007.

A post-mortem report said the American model, 39, died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs including anti-depressants.
