Aarushi murder: CBI questions Hemraj confidante

New Delhi, Mar 19 : The Aarushi Talwar murder case got a fresh turn with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sending a team to question social worker Usha Thakur, according to reports on Friday.

Thakur is the only other person outside the Talwar family, with whom the Talwar's domestic help Hemraj allegedly spoke before being murdered.

Thakur had claimed that Hemraj was scared five days before he was killed. A two-member CBI team apparently visited Thakur's house around 4pm Thursday. A source said that the CBI officials questioned Thakur for 45 minutes.

CBI decided to question Thakur after a Gujarat laboratory said that the narco-alysis test conducted on Aarushi's parents, Dr.Rajesh Talwar and Dr.Nupur Talwar, in February proved inconclusive.

The narco test on both the parents was done in two days and laboratory officials said that they have forwarded their findings to the investigating agency.

CBI decided to question Thakur to make sure that they have looked at all available clues. A CBI official said that they don't want to leave any loopholes in their investigations. The official also said that they wanted to make sure whether Hemraj was the main target where Aarushi unwillingly became a spectator.

Thakur said that Hemraj spoke to her around 7.30pm on May 11, 2008, five days before he was killed. She also said Hemraj wanted to speak to her for an hour. But then Thakur made said that she had never spoken to Hemraj before May 11, 2008.
