Amarr Upadhyay : TV's eternal step husband?

He was once the ideal and first choice as groom for most TV brides. However, that's changed now with Amarr Upadhyay being offered the role of a step husband for the second successive time.

Few months back Amarr was playing the step husband to Barkha Bisht in Sahara One show Doli saja ke. This daily is now off air but Amarr has been offered yet another husband's role. The channel remains the same but the show and the bride-to-be is Reena Kapoor, who'll be walking down the aisle for the umpteenth time. Amarr has been offered the lead in Rajshri Productions' never ending show Woh rene wali mehlon ki.

Confirming the news, Upadhyay says, "Yes, I have been offered the lead role in Woh rehne wali mehlon ki. However, there are a few things (look) which need to be discussed. Besides, the track will only begin in April. Rajshris is a great production house. I'm keen to play this role."

When reminded that he's likely to play a step husband again, Upadhyay sighed, "Yeah, that's true. I didn't realize that I'm playing a step husband again. But it's not so much about the relations but I'm happy with the character."

We don't wish to play the spoilsport here but apparently when we contacted producer Kavita Barjatya, she denied that Amarr Upadhyay was coming to her show. Well, producers have a tendency to keep things under wraps. Nevertheless, we hope to see Amarr in Woh rehne wali mehlon ki soon.
