Injured Gambhir ruled out of Delhi Daredevils' next IPL match

New Delhi, Mar 18: Delhi Daredevils skipper Gautam Gambhir, who sustained a hamstring injury during their Indian Premier League game against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, has been ruled out of Friday's tie against Chennai Super Kings.

Gambhir suffered the injury while fielding in the game, and later did not bat as the Daredevils went on to lose the game by 98 runs at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium.

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik will captain the side in Gambhir's absence.

Gambhir is another addition to the Team Indian players' injury list, which also includes skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, fast bowler Ashish Nehra and several others who are not fully fit.
