UPA, BSP hand in glove: Mulayam Singh

New Delhi, Mar 17 : Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday alleged that the Congress-led UPA government and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are 'hand in glove' over Mayawati's cash-garland.

"Mayawati was presented with another garland made of currency notes and the Centre is not taking action to find the source of the money. This clearly shows that that UPA and the BSP are hand in glove," Yadav told reporters here.

"I will raise the issue in Lok Sabha again if a probe is not ordered by April 12 when both the House meet again (after recess)," he added.

Meanwhile, flaunting another cash garland worth Rs 18 lakh on Wednesday, Maya said: "This second garland was made in response to the anger and dismay of my party workers."

The new garland was presented to Maya at the emergency meeting called by her on Wednesday in Lucknow to discuss how to combat the opposition vocal after her public act on Monday when she wore a garland of Rs 5 crore made of currencies.

The second act was to defy opposition and an impending Income Tax probe on the source of the money.
