Kolkata, Oct 2 : Indian film director and producer Gopi Anand is all set to remake a Telegu crime comedy flick into a Bengali movie titled 'Hey Prabhu Dekha Dao'.

Anand recently announced the cast and shared the story line of his upcoming movie which will be presented by his own production house Studio Gopix.

Tollywood actress Moubani Sarkar, actor Arijit Dutta along with debutants Ishaan Mazumdar and Lipsi Das , who will be seen in the movie, were present at the press conference.

Commenting on the film Anand said, "I love Bengali films and I am very much attached to Bengali films. All my favourite directors are from Bengal like Basu Chatterjee and Hrishikesh Mukherjee."

He added, "I saw the Telegu version of this film and that's when I decided to remake the movie."

The story of the film basically revolves around a gold Ganesh idol which gets stolen from a temple in Kerela and finally reaches the mafia through several twists and turns.

The culmination of the entire case leads to a crime comedy that has a divine message at the crux of it.

"I took a year gap and groomed myself and prepared for this movie. I have learnt professional dancing, yoga and a lot more. It is a great pleasure to work with Moubani and Arijit da" said the main lead of the film, Ishaan Mazumdar.

"The film is to be shot in and out of West Bengal. Some parts of the film will be shot in Vishakapattanam. The story of the film doesn't demand any foreign location so it is basically shot in India. It is a very realistic kind of movie" he Mazumdar added.

The film, 'Hey Prabhu Dekha Dao' is the remake of the Telegu film 'Swamy Ra Ra'.

"I am very happy and feel myself lucky to act in the film. As this is my first film, so I am also a bit tensed. There is the mixed feeling regarding this movie and I am looking forward to it" said the debutant Lipsi Das.
