Lindsay Lohan's father suffers heart attack

London, March 17 : Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan's father Michael suffered a minor heart attack just weeks after doctors told him he would have to undergo a catheterisation.

Michael was Tuesday taken to a heart centre at St. Francis Hospital in Manhasset, New York after complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath on a flight to the New York from Miami, according to his friend Kate Major, reports imdb.com.

She claims doctors believe he suffered a minor heart attack and that he will need to undergo a medical procedure.

The scare comes after Michael fell ill with chest pain earlier this month as he prepared for a boxing match. He was told that he would need to have a catheter inserted into his heart so that medics could diagnose any cardiac conditions.

Michael is reported to be taking anti-angina drug nitroglycerin.
