Washington, March 17: Honda is recalling 412,000 vehicles in the US over a problem with brake pedals, the Japanese carmaker announced Tuesday.
Honda said it would recall 344,000 Odyssey and 68,000 Element models after receiving complaints from customers that their brake pedals felt "soft", or the pedal would get closer to the floor before the car stopped.
The announcement comes in the wake of Japanese rival Toyota's recall of more than eight million cars worldwide over safety concerns primarily with its accelerator pedals, which has prompted increased scrutiny around the globe.
Honda also last month recalled more than 400,000 vehicles globally over faulty airbags.
