Islamabad/Mumbai, Mar 14 : The Pakistan government has reportedly filed an application at the Rawalpindi court to seek arrest orders against Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist of the Mumbai Terror Attack.
According to reports, Pakistan may now ask India for Kasab's extradition.
However, Ujjwal Nikam, public prosecutor of the 26/11 case, said it's an 'eyewash' by the Pak government.
"This move is eyewash to the whole process. How can Pakistan establish that Kasab is a proclaimed and fugitive offender of the 26/11?" Nikam said on Sunday.
Meanwhile Pakistan said they need Kasab to conduct trial of seven suspects of the Mumbai attack.
"According to law, if Pak wants they can use our evidence against the seven accused. Why they are not doing that?" said Nikam.
Earlier, Pakistan had said their courts won't accept Kasab's confession to Mumbai police as evidence against the case.
