Indian cricketers celebrate win on Twitter

Port of Spain, July 12 : Indian cricketers celebrated their Tri-Nations series victory on micro-blogging site Twitter on Friday.

Riding on skipper MS Dhoni's brilliant unbeaten knock of 45 runs off 52 balls, India defeated Sri Lanka by one wicket in the final to clinch the series on Thursday.

Praising Dhoni's heroic knock, spinner R Ashwin tweeted: "What a win!!What composure from the man!!!That was the perfect finish,to what's been a great 2 months."

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan said: "Had been best 2 months of cricket. Going back with 2 trophies.Thankyou everyone for your love and support."

Expressing his joy, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja posted: "Wonderful victory yesterday ..Flying home with Two trophys ,we r champions...... Jai hind."

Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was adjudged Man of the Series for his performance in the tournament, thanked his fans their support.

"Extremely happy for being awarded man of the series for the first time. Thankyou everyone for your love and support," Kumar tweeted.

Cricketer Surensh Raina, who contributed 32 runs with his willow in the final clash, said: "Phew! What a win. Heroic once again by @msdhoni. Coming home with two trophies!!!!"

Chasing, Sri Lanka's 201 all out, India reached 203 runs by losing nine wickets in 49.4 overs on Thursday.

India had defeated England by 5 runs to lift the ICC Champions Trophy on June 23.
