'Peher' completes 150 episode

Mumbai, Mar 10 : DD National's popular soap "Peehar" recently completed 150 epsiode.

The show portrays the troubles of a common man in a village.

"Nandini" played by Tina Parekh belongs to a middle class family and lives in a village. She has always been a meritorious student and achieves an M.B.B.S degree through hard work.

During her M.B.B.S, she falls in love with a young man named "Sameer" and moves to Mauritius only to realize how much she is missing her village.

She is unable to adjust to the culture and atmosphere of Mauritius and is constantly worried about the fact that her village is still lacks some basic facilities.

Her constant disappointment with the place always led to difference between Nandini and her husband. Her husband tells her to stop thinking about her maternal home as it's now her brothers' duty and this is her home in Mauritius.

Nandini responds back saying that that it's her duty as much as it's her brothers' because only one mother gives to birth all brothers and sisters and it's everyone's duty to look after their home.

Eventually, Nandini comes back to her village to fulfill her childhood dream of starting a hospital in her village. She resides with her mother played by Saadhna Singh and her 3 brothers "Manish", "Sagar" and "Vishnu" played by Madhur Arora, Hitesh Kriplani and Amit respectively.

During this time, Nandini becomes more aware of the troubles of a common man in a village. Fertilizers are sold in subsidized rates but it doesn't help the farmers of the village in any way. Similarly, there are various facilities provided to villagers like loans etc. but he has to run around a lot during the process.

Various schemes are available for the betterment and development of villages but no one is aware of it completely and to top it all, the corrupt officials who create these problems for the common man. Witnessing all such problems, Nandini decides to unmask these corrupt officials with the help of "D M" played by Kuldeep Dubey and social worker "Kalpana" played by Kavita Rathod which ultimately makes her a hot target of these officials.

Will Nandini be able to unmask the corrupted officials and help the village gain awareness about their rights?

The soap is directed by director Himanshu Consul and is produced under the banner of Vishant Audio and Ramesh Bokade.
