Vodafone launches 'Star of the Match'

Kolkata, Mar 10 : Vodafone Essar, one of India's leading cellular services providers, Wednesday announced the launch of 'Vodafone Star of the Match' competition for the upcoming DLF IPL Season III.

Through this competition, Vodafone provides an opportunity to all its customers to be seen on national television being honoured by the winning captain during the post match ceremony. The winning captain will present the 'Star of the Match' with a personally autographed match ball.

One 'Star of the Match' will be chosen for each of the 60 DLF IPL matches that will be held this season. Since this is a nationwide competition, Vodafone will provide each winner with a return trip air ticket and hotel accommodation at the city where the match is played.

Speaking on this unique initiative, Kumar Ramanathan, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Essar said, "We know that many of our customers are cricket fans and that DLF IPL is one of the most popular cricket tournaments in India. We want to make this an opportunity for our customers to become an integral part of cricketing history. This initiative was highly appreciated by our customers last year. This year too, we hope to make them feel special, make them feel like a Star."

The competition started on March 9 and will continue till the end of DLF IPL season III.

Both prepaid and postpaid Vodafone customers can participate in the 'Star of the Match' competition.
