New Delhi, Mar 10: In the wake of terror attacks on Indians in Afghanistan, India is contemplating scaling down its operations in the foreign nation, though it might not pull out completely at the moment.
India is headed for a security revamp in Afghanistan and for apparent security reasons, operations could be centralized, TV reports said on Wednesday, quoting Union Home Ministry sources.
The reports claimed that the Union Home ministry will soon issue an advisory to all Indians to return home.
Home ministry sources were quoted as stating that India was 'keen' to scaling down its Afghan mission.
The medical mission was put on hold following February 26 attack at the Indian health care facility in Kabul, in which seven Indians were killed.
National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon had visited Kabul after the attack to make an on-ground check.
