New recruitment process for UPSC

New Delhi, Mar 10: The new aptitude-based test for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to come into effect from 2011.

The Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) is expected to come into effect from Civil Services Examination, 2011, informed Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Prithviraj Chavan in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

He said the examination system of the UPSC is updated from time to time to keep it in harmony with the changing environment. The Prime Minister has approved the proposal for introduction of CSAT in place of the existing Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, the minister added.
