New Delhi, Mar 10: Nomination dossier on Jantar-Mantar (Jaipur) and Santiniketan (West Bengal) for inscription in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list has been submitted by the Indian government to the world body.
The preparation of nomination dossiers on Majuli cultural landscape (Assam) and Harappan sites as serial nomination is underway.
This was informed by Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. He added that there are already 27 sites in India inscribed in the World Heritage List of UNESCO.
