New Delhi, Dec 8 : Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus will deliver the second Professor Hiren Mukerjee Memorial Annual Parliamentary Lecture Wednesday evening in the Central Hall of Parliament House.
Yunus, managing director of Bangladesh's Grameen Bank, will speak on "Social Business: A Step Toward Creating a New Economic and Social Order", a release from the Lok Sabha Secretariat said Tuesday.
Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar will address the function. Governors, chief ministers, presiding officers of state legislatures, MPs and a large number of other dignitaries will attend.
The parliament had instituted the annual lecture series in the memory of Professor Hiren Mukherjee - an eminent Communist parliamentarian of India.
The inaugural lecture was delivered by Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen on Aug 11, 2008.
