London cabbies may undergo 'when to shut up' training!

London, March 7 : London black cab drivers may undergo training on when to leave the passengers with some peace and quiet.

Authorities were said to be mulling additional lessons for new recruits, including ones based on "the Knowledge", before they acquire a licence.

But John Mason, head of taxi regulation at Transport for London, confessed to the Financial Times, pointed out the classes may still not guarantee ideal customer service.

"It's a world-renowned service. The drivers are always perceived to be some of the great characters you come across in London," the Telegraph quoted Mason as telling the newspaper.

He added: "There is always room for improvement. Perhaps it is good sometimes to keep your mouth shut if you sense vibes from the customer that perhaps they are having a bad day."
