Islamabad, Mar.6 : Pakistani agencies, including the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have intensified the search operation for kidnapped British toddler Sahil Saeed.
Five-year old Saeed was kidnapped on Thursday from his grandmother's house in Jhelum when he was about to leave the house with his father for the airport to catch a flight back to London.
While officials are tight lipped about the investigations, sources said that at least six persons, including the taxi driver, have been taken into custody for interrogation.
The investigation team led by Superintendent of Police (SP) -Investigation Khalid Mehmood Chaudhry has not revealed much about the progress in the case, but insiders said the official are also working on the possibility of an "insider's" role in the abduction because the timing of Saeed and his father Raja Naqash Saeed's departure was only known some close relatives.
Police sources said an anonymous call had been made from Spain to a member of the family demanding payment of ransom.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is likely to visit Jhelum on Saturday (today) to meet the boy's family, The Dawn reports.
