Walking the ramp as difficult as playing: Pankaj Advani

By Shilpa Raina, Mumbai, March 5 : Indian cueist Pankaj Advani and actor Harman Baweja were the show stoppers for designer Babita Malkani's show at the Lakme Fashion Week here Friday. The ace billiards player feels walking the ramp is as difficult as playing the game.

Dressed in checked cotton trousers and coats, Pankaj and Harman admitted that they enjoyed the rush of walking the ramp.

"It's a different feeling altogether. Every time I walk the ramp, it is a new experience. In a game, you don't get a second chance, same here. You have to walk once and make an impact," said Pankaj at the post show conference.

Commenting on Malkani's creation, Harman said that the collection was cool, casual and relaxed, a bit different from his regular style.

"You see me in formal suits and jackets, but this line is very comfortable. I had to walk the ramp in leather chappals (slippers), which was so refreshing," said the actor.

Malkani took inspiration from Bhutan for the collection - she feels that it is the happiest country in the world.

"During my travel to Bhutan, I decided to create a line of garments which will represent the happiest country of the world," explained Malkani.

In the three-designer show that comprised of Malkani, Riyaz Gangji (Libas) and Ayush and Shradha Murarka (Vizyon), actress Pooja Bedi also walked the ramp in a cr and #65533;me trail gown designed by Libas.

Cheering the stars was singer Raageshwari and actor Kabir Bedi who was there to support his daughter Pooja.

"It was wonderful to have dad around. He was cheering for me. It feels nice to have him in the audience cheering for me," Pooja told IANS after the show.
