19 designers, 10 models to debut at WIFW

New Delhi, March 4 : Nineteen designers and 10 models will be making their debut at the 2010 edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), to be held here March 24-28.

Out of the 19 designers, eight will be showcasing their collections on the runway, while the rest will display their creations at the exhibition stall.

"I'm delighted to announce that 19 emerging and established designers and 10 models will debut on the runway of WIFW," Sunil Sethi, president, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the organisers of the mega fashion event, said in a press statement.

"The designers will bring with them talent and creativity, the key ingredients for success and the new faces will light up the ramp. I wish them success."

Among the debutant designers is Nandita Mahtani, who was earlier dating model-actor Dino Morea. Another is veteran actress Neena Gupta's daughter Masaba.

Others who will be showing their designs on the runway include Littleshilpa, Arjun Saluja (Rishta), Chandrani Singh Fllora, Kartikeya and Isha (Dozak), Smriti and Shreya and Nirali (Shrea).

Designers, who will showcase their designs for the first time at WIFW stalls include Nakul Sen, Akaaro-Gaurav Gupta, Ekta Singh, 5X by Ajit Kumar, Divyam Mehta, Anand Bhushan, Shikha Sharma and Naveen Dohare.

Accessory designers like SRZ by Shahrukh Zaidi, Felix Bendish and 5-Elements by Radhika Gupta are also making their debut at WIFW stalls.
