Lahore, Mar.3 : The Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected a petition seeking a ban on screening of Bollywood films in Pakistan in protest against the humiliating treatment meted out to the country's cricketers in the Indian Premier League's (IPL) auction.
Dismissing the petition filed by one Muhammad Hussain, LHC Justice Waqar Hassan Mir said it was actually a blessing in disguise that the Pakistani cricketers were not selected for the IPL's third season.
"It's a blessing in disguise that the Pakistani cricket players were not selected in IPL considering the pathetic performance of Pakistani team during its matches in Australia," The Nation quoted Mir, as saying.
In his petition, Hussain had urged the court to ban the screening of Indian movies in the country until New Delhi apologises for humiliating the Pakistani cricketers.
