Director Lijin Jose brings together different segments of life, together in his movie 'Friday'. He captures the lives of different people in the city of Alappuzha.
The movie is compelling in the way it conjoins disparate elements of life with a sense of meaning and logic. The characters essayed are endearingly human.
They are moved by love, lust, rage and at the moment they react to situation like normal people. 'Friday' follows a day in the life of a disgruntled auto-driver Balu (Fahadh Faasil).
A soon to be married girl Aswathy (Nimisha); she is accompanied by her grandfather (Nedumudi Venu) in her shopping.
There is a love smitten couple of Jincy (Ann Augustine) and Muneer (Manu) in the movie. The film depicts a pregnant beggar, searching for place to deliver her baby.
There is also a childless couple Arun (Prakash Bare) and Parvathy (Asha Sarath) who come to Alappuzha to adopt a child.
The performances delivered by all the actors are good. Especially Nedumudi Venu and Fahadh Fazil put up a commendable performance. Ann Augustine also continues to improve with every outing.
