Vodafone launches M-Shop for movie tickets

Kolkata, Feb 19 : Vodafone Essar, one of India's leading cellular services providers, Friday announced that all Vodafone customers can now purchase movie tickets through their mobiles exclusively via M-Shop.

Speaking on this initiative, Rajesh Dongre, Head - Mobile Commerce, Vodafone Essar said, "This initiative offers our customers the ease and convenience of booking their favourite movie tickets even as they are on the move. It is an innovative application of technology and the beauty of this service lies in its utility."

This service is brought by Vodafone and BookMyShow, one of India's largest online entertainment ticketing and Information services.

According to Ashish Hemrajani, Founder-CEO, Bigtree Entertainment, "We are delighted to be associated with Vodafone's M-Shop. India is a movie loving nation and this joint initiative enables customers easy access to movie tickets at any cinema of their choice. We hope that Vodafone customers share the same excitement about this service as we do."

As an introductory offer there will be no convenience fee till February 28, 2010.

The M-shop service also allows customers to make various bill payments, recharge any Vodafone prepaid connection, pay any Vodafone postpaid bill, recharge Dish TV or TATA Sky connection, shop for popular books, buy flowers, gifts and tickets using their Visa or MasterCard credit card.
