Singapore/Kolkata Nov 28 : The CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Global Business Challenge (GBC) Saturday announced the 2nd Global Business Challenge, an international business management competition designed to bring out the best in potential business leaders among students.
Teams from 16 countries viz. UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, India, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, UAE and Australia, will participate in this year's Global Final at Kuala Lampur.
Last year, more than 6000 students from colleges and universities across 8 countries participated in the competition.
Centre of Management Studies, Jain University, Bangalore, were the first team to represent India at the CIMA GBC finale 2009 at Singapore.
Now in its second year, in India, the competition will be on a much larger scale spanning over ten months with over 60 college teams first participating in the regional semi-finals before the India Finals.
The winning team and their mentor will then represent India at the Global Finals.

' said Ray Perry, Executive Director of Brand, Profile and Marketing at CIMA.
Arati Porwal, Chief Representative, CIMA India said, 'Participation in a competition such as CIMA's global business challenge provides the students a global platform to showcase their talent and match their skills with the student community from different countries. It gives them a hands-on experience of being an effective global business leader, thus helping them advance their career.'
Teams will be expected to analyse, report and present on a CIMA case study.
