Soren government to present its first budget March 5

"The Jharkhand assembly session has been convened Feb 26 and it will conclude March 27. The government will present 2010-2011 budget in the house March 5," Cabinet Secretary Aditya Swaroop told reporters here.

This will be the first budget of the Soren government. Soren became chief minister a third time but his government earlier never got a chance to present the budget.

The budget will be presented by Deputy Chief Minister Raghubar Das, who holds the finance portfolio.

The 2009-2010 budget was cleared by parliament as Jharkhand was under president's rule Jan 19 to Dec 30 last year.
