Globsyn signs MoU with FBI

FBI's collaboration with Globsyn-run Asian Institute of Family Business (AIFB) under the aegis of its Global Connect programme, will focus on giving Consultancy and Advisory on Business Assessment, Conflict Resolution, Succession Planning, Family Governance, Growth of a Family Business etc.

There will also be Roundtables programmes for CEOs, Presidents and business owners with a special emphasis on family owned business as well as SMEs and various joint workshops by AIFB and FBI.

The MoU was signed by Bikram Dasgupta, Chairman and CEO, Globsyn Group, Kolkata and Wayne Rivers, Co - Founder and President, Family Business Institute.

Commenting on the development, Dasgupta said, "Our brand identity connects with the unique proposition of cutting across barriers, thus this relationship with Family Business Institute represents the core idea of collaborating with leading institutes of the world to bring in the best practices in our country. We are confident that SME sector and the conscious family business owners of Asia will indeed be benefited by the expertise of FBI through its association with AIFB."

AIFB aims to bridge the gap between higher structured education for Entrepreneurship in general and Family Business. The requirement of such initiative is soaring as among all Indian businesses around 60-70pc is family run.

Commenting on the association, Wayne Rivers, Co - Founder and President, Family Business Institute said, "We can help people design a plan to strengthen, secure and grow their business, so it can thrive for generation to come. Globsyn had also organised a workshop on "How to grow your family business through generations" by Wayne Rivers, the leading authority on Family Business, in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Mumbai during the first week of this month.
