UAE firm joins UN good governance initiative

.....

Dubai Properties Group (DPG) is among 5,500 firms worldwide to join the UN Global Compact (UNGC) initiative. Other stakeholders from over 130 countries are also its members.

The initiative was launched in July 2000 to influence policies that are sustainable and socially responsible. It seeks to align business operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Properties Group said: "This membership strongly reflects our continuous commitment to achieving international standards in pursuing our corporate responsibility goals.

"By adopting the highly effective principles recommended by the UN, DPG aims to demonstrate its ability to identify and implement environmental, social and governance initiatives for the benefit of the community and our stakeholders," he added.
