"Swiss customers could now directly fly to Goa, one of the best known leisure destinations in India," Swiss International airlines general manager Jean Philippe Benoit said.
"We are sure that travellers starting out from Goa will appreciate our offer of direct connectivity with Europe and convenient transfers to many global destinations," he said.
Bush Miranda, station manager for the aviation company, said with the Swiss International airline directly linking Goa to Europe, it would open up Zurich and all European countries beyond, for travel, tourism and cargo, once a week.
The weekly Goa-Zurich flight is an Airbus A-330 aircraft in a 2-class configuration of 32 business-class and 275 economy-class seats.
