.....
National award winning director Shivadwaj has now brought up this issue. He thinks that at least the other three languages of Karnataka state- Tulu, Konkani and Kodava, should be allowed to dub in Kannada. His award-winning film, 'Gaggara', has led the director to think about this seriously.
He has sought permission to allow the dubbing of films of these languages in Kannada. This will create a market for these films, which are made with a tiny budget because of their lack of audiences. 'Gaggara' was made with a budget of Rs. 13 lakhs and was shot in 12 days with a 16 mm camera.
Hopefully, his appeal will reach to the industry big shots and something will be done to change the dubbing rule.
