Indian Panorama selection for IFFI' 11 announced

New Delhi, Oct 18 : Seven Malayalam films among 24 feature movies were selected for IFFI 2011, Indian Panorama Section.

The jury for Feature films, headed by renowned filmmaker Sai Paranjpye, has selected 23 films out of a total of 118 entries for the IFFI 2011, Indian Panorama Section.

Malayalam film directed by Salim Ahamed titled 'Adaminte Makan Abu', which won Best Feature Film award at the recent 58th National Film Awards is the 24th film of Indian Panorama, by virtue of direct entry.

The Non-Feature films jury was chaired by writer-director Ashok Rane as they picked up 21 films out of 135 entries.

The feature film jury choose Malayalam film Urumi as the opening film of Indian Panorama 2011.

In the Non-Feature film category, director Makarand Brahme's film 'Adwaita Sangeet' has been selected as the opening film.
