Miranshah, Pakistan Jan 30 : At least nine people, suspected to be militants, were killed in drone strikes in Pakistan's trouble-torn North Waziristan since Friday night.
Geo TV put the toll at 9. Reports said the dead were militants.
The report said the drone fired four missiles in bordering area of Dattakhel last night.
The hideout of militants targeted belonged to Jalaluddin Haqani group.
The report said a car and an anti-aircraft gun aimed to shoot down drones were also targeted.
A drone was destroyed five days ago in the area.
The US has intensified drone attacks in north-west Pakistan since a suicide bomber killed seven CIA agents across the border in Afghanistan last month.
