Kolkata, Jan 28 : West Bengal's main opposition Trinamool Congress Wednesday announced the launch of a 'non-cooperation' against the state's Communist-led government at all levels.
Earlier Trinamool Leaders had been boycotting functions and programmes attended by Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and leaders of ruling Left Front major Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).
"Until and unless the state government-sponsored killings of innocent Trinamool supporters stop, we will continue our non-cooperation with this state government at all levels including block and district levels," said Partha Chatterjee, leader of opposition in West Bengal assembly.
"We won't attend any programmes, or meetings called by the state government," Chatterjee said.
More than 200 people have died in political clashes in the state after the Lok Sabha elections last year.
