Emirates to connect four more destinations from Chennai

Chennai, Jan 27 : Emirates Airlines will add four more international destinations via Dubai from here starting May this year.

"We will fly to Tokyo this March, Amsterdam in May, and Prague and Madrid in July and August, respectively," Sudhir Sukumaran, sales manager, Tamil Nadu, told reporters here Wednesday announcing special package fares coinciding with the Dubai Shopping Festival.

While the number of flights out of here will remain at 21 per week, after adding the four new destinations, Emirates Airlines is expected to increase its load factor from the current 70 percent of the total 6,500 seats.

He said in order to attract Indians to shop at the one-month long Dubai Shopping Festival that starts Thursday at Dubai, the airlines was offering a package starting at Rs.19,461 on twin-sharing basis for a three night stay that includes return economy class fare, breakfast and airport transfers by car.

The offer is valid for a minimum stay of three nights with an option to extend.

Aside of the shopping festival, Emirates Airlines is offering special return economy class fares to Dubai beginning at Rs.13,890, London at Rs.21,390 and Rs.43,190 for New York.
