December 17, 2010 : He is one short of completing his century in a career spanning more than two decades. No we are not talking about a cricketer but about Sandalwood actor Shivrajkumar whose 99th film is all set to hit screens across South India.
According to reports in the media, Shivrajkumar will play six roles in his upcoming film. Confirming this news to the media is the actor himself who says that he is being reintroduced in the Kannada film industry when he is almost going to complete filming hundred films!
At 49 years of age, Shivrajkumar will also portray the role of a college kid. While that sounds surprising, the actor is not worried at all because he has complete faith in his director R Chandru and also feels that his upcoming project 'Mylari' has a strong script which will be loved by the audience and the critics. While the college kid is one among the six avatars that Shivrajkumar has adopted in 'Mylari', another shows him matching steps to peppy numbers for the Kannada screen. And the actor promises to introduce some new dance steps in his upcoming project.
Since so much effort has gone into the making of the upcoming Sandalwood project, isn't Shivrajkumar upset over the fact that the release of 'Mylari' has been stalled for a week? No, shoots the 49 year old actor, and adds that he is rather happy about the delay in release date because this will mean that 'Mylari' plays in theaters during Christmas, which may attract more audiences to theaters. Shivrajkumar sure sounds upbeat about 'Mylari'.
