Warsaw, Dec 1 : Power cuts caused by heavy snowfall in parts of Poland have left some 300,000 homes without electricity, authorities said on Friday.

A government spokesperson has assured affected residents that the majority of power generators would be back up and running soon, reports Efe news.

However, weather warnings for drivers to take extra precaution on the roads remained in place following the first heavy snowfall of the season that particularly affected the mountainous southern regions.
