Patel heads field in first round of PGTI Qualifying

Jaipur, Dec 2: Devendra Patel led the field at the end of round one of the Aircel-PGTI's Pre-Qualifying I for the 2010 season at the Rambagh Golf Club here Wednesday.

Patel, who hails from Bhopal, fired a two under 68 to be placed at the top of the leaderboard with birdies on the first, eighth, 13th and 16th holes while he bogeyed the 11th and 18th.

Gast Ram of Delhi was placed second at even par-70, with Kapil Kumar, Ajay Baisoya, Sudhir Sharma, Kaka Kohli, Arjun Lall, Mohd. Yamin and Kuldeep Singh tied third at one over 71.

A total of 38 players and ties will qualify from Pre Qualifying I for the Final Qualifying Stage.
